SoRo, Inc. is a non profit 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to the revitalization and beautification of Robertson Blvd. between the Santa Monica Freeway and Pico Blvd. and its surrounding residential neighborhoods in Los Angeles, California.

Notice: SoRo, Inc. is a legally and  functionally separate organization from the Certified South Robertson Neighborhood Council (SORONC) which is under the Los Angeles Dept. of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE).

LANI is the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative, a community-driven neighborhood program which jump starts economic revitalization and improves urban neighborhoods.
LANI partnered with SoRo, Inc. to plan and implement several beautification and safety projects.

South Robertson Blvd.

 Smart Crosswalk on Robertson Blvd. & Olin


The completed LANI projects ($498,000) are:

  • Comprehensive Community Work Plan
  • Conceptual design for SoRo Village corridor
  • Pedestrian activated crosswalk at Robertson Blvd. and Olin Street
  • Decorative stamped asphalt crosswalks at three (3) intersections
  • Sidewalk repair and cleaning
  • Tree pruning and replanting
  • Bus shelters with matching benches and trash receptacles (6)
  • Decorative pedestrian lights (25)

An important part of the improvements made are the decorative pedestrian street lights that line Robertson Blvd, enhancing the appearance of the street and improving public safety.

The community is grateful for these improvements and thanks all of the
